      Re: Site Banner Contest

You people are so talented...thanks so much for sharing your work...a rotating banner sounds wonderful...one thing we must consider, if the work is not original, whether there is any copyright infrindgement...we should check out all the ones that are clip-art, etc. to make sure of that

Put on your happy smile so the world doesn’t see you cry,
Be talkative so they won’t ask what’s wrong,
Don’t cry, don’t break down you’re not allowed to do that,

      Stop shaking they won’t understand,

Put on your mask; hide so much of who you are,

Bury it all and become so fake, then your ready to face the world another day.

I think i still like this one the best overall. I don't really have an issue with the words 'suicide' at the top because i always scroll down so you don't see it and i pretty much only ever go on here at home anyway. However for those who use public computers or go this website in public places or with people around perhaps it could be changed to just SF.

My only beef with the rotating banners is the possibility that it would take longer to load. For those using older computers or netbooks or whatever that can't handle all that flashy stuff. I realize that you can change the skin at the bottom but the argument was that for newbies who weren't aware of how to do this. My suggestion to have just multiple skins to choose from if you want everyone's banner to have a chance and just choosing one as the default. Maybe if it is applicable to have it so you choose your skin when you sign up would be good to. Or perhaps just a 'low res' and 'high res' version.

Perhaps the better idea is to just had small image in the corner with no words just keep it sweet and to the point.

      Just my two cents.

I expected the banners to be at the top next to the vbulletin logo, it's nice to see something being tried.

      Re: Site Banner Contest

Well here is the thing I thought I had this working and well I fucked up and did not check so sorry for everyone the felt neglected, I would love to have this replace the vbulltion log but alas it does not support that and I simply don't have the time to code somethign to do that. But if you want give me a banner and I will add it, just be aware the program is less then perfect and I have fought it every step of the way,

V-Bulletin format, from what I have seen on their Community Forum is not an easy puppy to work with, although it might be the best game in town...thanks so much Raven for all of your hard work and your continued involvement in this and all our others issues
