Only if they can get me some sweet cyborg replacement limbs. I'm at the point in my life where although the struggle isn't done, I can see light at the end of the mental tunnel. I do not have any reason to believe that I will lose my mental faculties if I should live that long, so my greatest worry would be the lack of physical mobility. Given the typical life of an 80+ US citizen today, no, I would not like to live to be 100.
Absolutely not. I think this world is already too overpopulated. Life is precious because it is fleeting. Not only do we not have enough resources to support longer life spans at the increasing rate of population, but If we all had longer lives, I think alot of people would take things for granted. Life would be less precious, less fragile. Tho on the other hand, it would be truely interesting to see how much society has progressed in that span. Im just not sure if that would be a good thing, or a bad thing. Hmmmm....
Not sure right now if I want to live till tommorow; but maybe yes, till 100 just to confront the difference between 1990s and 2090s out of curiosity. Not a strong one, but still keeps me at least little bit out of suicide etc.
I just want to liveAge won't matter, but I'd enjoy living to that age in some sense.
I do, only because my soon-to-be former daughter wants me to. ( But, at the same time, whats the point if I no longer have her?....)
Yeah, I would, again just so i could use the"In my day" for stuff. In my day we didn't have any of this holophone nonsense we just had a touchscreen...looking forward to it.
My wife, who has Asian roots, has a grandmother that lived well past 100. Every time I saw her, she was happy and healthy. Heck, she often had a can of beer and a cigarette that she rolled herself in her hand (go figure!).
I want to live as long as I can. Life without pain would be life without feeling... so some pain is to be expected. The quality of life comes from how we perceive it and it is molded best by what we do with our opportunities, how much we learn from our mistakes, and how much control we exercise in what we do. We all know that happiness is not dependent upon anything material... it is a state of mind.
