Something as many people as possible should publicise...it's on the 10th September.
Best wishes everyone, let's hope we all keep our demons at bay for some time longer.

I don't have an illness, I just think differently. Acceptance of our differences or percieved weaknesses is one of the hardest challenges we face.
Everyone knows about suicide, just they don't care. They think suicide is selfish. They think it's for weak self-centered people. I know some people are different, but the majority of people don't care.
I'll spread the word anyways but I don't expect a single person to actually give a damn.
I care, I guess you care, every walk begins with a single step.
I think many people care, just they are afraid and don't understand.
Thank you for caring enough to join voices with me.

In the USA, we take the entire month of September and recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness - "Suicide Prevention Month." In many States, Cities, and Counties, special ceremonies and/or events take place. I am helping out at the one going on in my county: http://www.wilco.org/CountyDepartmen...y-Sept-18.aspx
In addition, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention conducts awareness walks all year long in many different U.S. cities. I have a walk team again this year. This is a summary of our event coverage from last year's walk: http://youtu.be/a0G0NqTB_eg
I encourage everybody out there to take a moment and do something every day to help support Awareness for Suicide Prevention and to help stamp out the negative stigma that keeps people from understanding, recognizing, and working toward prevention of this.

I have had the privilege of participating in two Out of the Darkness walks so far this year and have one more tomorrow. I am always saddened by the circumstances that bring us together, but being with others that have been there and survived is beyond words.
