Obama has done everything he possibly could in order to pull your country out of the mess that W created. And yes, W was responsible-- he knew that deregulation of Wall Street was creating a monster but he didn't care, because they were his friends. Enron alone was proof that deregulation was creating a culture of financial predators, but since they were his best buds he thought that it would be a good idea to stay the course. So then we had the 2008 crash that happened because no one was paying attention and Bush was busy constructing his fascist nightmare state which you still haven't been able to escape and probably never will... so it was all-too-easy to dismiss Enron as just a blip, because of course you can always trust Wall Street not to do it again.
Romney is trying to convince everyone that things are not improving and that he has the fastest, easiest answer to a problem that's already going away-- but the thing is, there is no fast an easy answer to the absolute disaster that was W… and if there is an answer, it's definitely not to pretend that his presidency wasn't destructive, or that Wall Street will ever stop being greedy.
Romney has already promised to reverse every single regulation that Obama has tried to force onto Wall Street and allow his best friends to destroy the global economy with their greed. Anyone who is not already rich will be completely destroyed and no one will be able to help them. 2008 will happen again-- but worse… and then what? Another bailout? All of Wall Street needs to be put under martial law and constantly policed by military agents who will shoot anyone who gets out of line.
If anything, Obama's biggest problem is that he's been too half-assed about everything… I hope if he gets re-elected he stops being such an idealist and becomes like the anti-Bush. W didn't listen to ANYONE and did whatever he pleased, neither should Obama. He should stop trying to unite the country and make everyone happy, and just go for it… fuck the haters. That's the one thing people liked about Bush-- he did things. They were horrible things, but at least stuff happened.
Unfortunately, it's always more glamourous and exciting to smash everything to bits than to desperately try to clean up what has become an impossible mess after a long, brutal 8 years of complete mismanagement and utter incompetence-- this is why Obama is not being portrayed as a great president, because he inherited a f--king mess and became a janitor for everyone's retarded, indebted, entitled BS. You might notice that Clinton breezed through his 8 years with almost no major incidents except a ridiculous sex scandal that had no bearing on his leadership skills, while Bush created all kinds of drama and BS and basically threatened the stability of the entire world… and now Obama is trying to pick up the pieces, figure out how they all go together, and then glue it back into something resembling what it once was.
All of the Republican Presidents of the past 30 years have been horrifying, terrifying monsters who do dangerous things and create problems for the entire world. Reagan was probably the absolute worst, and the one who started all the BS that Obama has to clean up. He was popular because he was a movie star but in reality he brought the world closer to nuclear holocaust than it had been since Kennedy (when people thought that it was actually possible to survive nuclear wars)… seriously, the man aggressively courted the extinction of the human race and everyone thought he was wonderful… meanwhile, he also set into motion the Wall Street predators that have now multiplied into a virus destroying the entire world with greed and cocaine and psychopathic urges, causing crashes for fun and profit, and laughing at the suckers who keep on voting in their guys.
I don't even think the people who vote for Romney have actual reasons-- they just think that he's on 'their side', like a bunch of alcoholics cheering for a football team or something.
