Yes, Yahoo Mail is and always has been pain when it comes to confirmation letters, or for that matter, any sort of e-mail. It always take five minutes or eve up to 10 hours to receive an e-mail (just from a friend to say "G'day!" which is why I never use Yahoo services anymore.
I stick with Hotmail - although for some sites, it takes a few minutes for a reply to appear, I swear by it that out of Yahoo, G-Mail and all of the others, Hotmail is the best (and fastest) to use, especially when you are waiting for an important e-mail or confirmation e-mail.
