morning good ppl.. hope all is welol for you.. especilly those in path of storm sandy.. just bowed my head and asked big momma to take care and watch over you now.. john sleeping quietly atm.. daddy is listening to tina turner on ipad.. today we got to get to pharmacy after lunch and pickup some pills.. watch rest of movie straw dogs.. then try to get sis on phone at her winter residence in warmer weather in las vegas.. not much more going to even attempt other than shaves and baths with hope katie takes zoomies tonight...

According to local news we are all in a horrible state right now but except for the occasional fluttery internet and lights it is just a bad wind/rain storm at least in my little corner ... hopefully it stays that way and hoping the best for those less fortunate in location.

I'm off out to Matlock again for a walk in the fresh air to clear my head some. Back to work tomorrow after 9 days off, can't believe how quick that's gone

It was scary to hear the winds and see such a storm...one million customers without services today, but here in Brooklyn Heights, safe and warm...people coming here as I have all services, as soon as Brooklyn Bridge opens later today...so had to clean early and get a big pot of gravy (sauce) on the stove and will make some other things...lower Manhattan looks ghostly, with waves up to 14 feet at the water's edge...largest storm to hit in history...no subway today and probably for a few days as most is under ground, but buses will be running either later or tomorrow...Brooklyn Nets opener probably will be canceled at Barclay Center, but then again, who can afford the $8000 court side tickets anyway...sending caring to all and thanks for so many messages of concern

Ben and Jackie very good to hear you are ok now. Eases my mind some..some others worrying for now..just turned off msnbc's morning joe on boob tube.. Pictures and it all was really scaring the hell out of me!!!!

Back to iPad and some old friendly music on iPad.. About another half hour will do the ps3 and 6 speaker system and wake Johnny and the neighbors..lol

Good morning all!

So glad to hear that those who were in the direct path of Sandy are ok. We got the remnants...some wind and temporary power outages. The real brunt of the storm on the coast looked very frightening on the news!

Nothing going on with me today until I head out to volunteer training tonight. So Star and I will snuggle up and read a book, have some coffee, and thank heaven for a quiet and safe day!

Hey all!! Everything's okay here. That storm was unreal... and I didn't have it nearly as bad as some in New York or New Jersey. I've never experienced rain and wind like that before. At times it was so loud against the windows, I couldn't hear the TV or my computer. There were times where I thought there was no way the power lines could hold out, but at least for me, they did.

So glad to hear everyone is OK! I only see the pictures of the area, and am convinced that climate change is causing all of this, but more and more Americans believe that climate change is not a real concern.

Mother nature doesn't like being messed with. She bites back!
