Changes In Chat

This post is to let you all know of the room changes we as staff have decided to make in chat. These changes will take effect sometime over the weekend.

Right now, when you log into chat, you are sent directly to the Lobby, which seems to be our most active chat room.

Once the changes are in place, you will be automatically logged into a different room called the Entrance Room when you first sign into chat. This room will be like a stopping point, a place to be before you decide which room you want to log into. It's not meant to be a highly active room, but from there you can see who's in what room and decide where you want to go. Members of staff will make an effort to drop into this room if they see a new face, to welcome them to SF and help direct them to which room might best suit their needs. We would also greatly appreciate it if the Chat Buddies could help in directing new members.

We are going to eliminate the Antiquities Room, since it hardly ever gets used.

The name of the Chat Lobby is going to be changed to Main Chat. This will obviously still be our main chat room.

The other two rooms (Triggering Subjects and Quiet Place) won't be changed in any way.
