Re: Songs that make you bawl

Bright Eyes - Art Garfunkel ~ Doesn't have anything to do with the movie 'Watership Down', it just reminds me of one of my dead kitties that I always used to call Bright Eyes. I always told her I'd play it at her funeral/the day she died.

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls ~ It just makes me feel kinda emotional.

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley ~ Combination of the melody and the lyrics. It's just so powerful and sad.

Tragedy blows through your life like a tornado, uprooting everything. Creating chaos. You wait for the dust to settle and then you choose. You can live in the wreckage and pretend it's still the mansion you remember. Or you can crawl from the rubble and slowly rebuild.

Vivaldi, Winter. It brings out some strong emotions for me due to the beauty and stength of it.

this one usually brings a tear to my eye as well....although more from laughter. all i can think about is will ferrel dancing around playing cowbell and christopher walken going on and on about how the track "needs more cowbell". if you have no idea what i'm talking about do a search for saturday night live + needs more cowbell. although, i'll warn you you'll never hear that song the same way again.

this is truly a classic.

i also get choked up at the following:
ben folds-the luckiest, fred jones part 2 and that's me trying
barenaked ladies-the war on drugs
the felons-going to win
rufus wainwright-poses
aimee mann-deathly
peter gabriel w/kate bush-don't give up
third eye blind-walking with the wounded, jumper and motorcycle drive by
and a bevy of other songs....i'm a cryer. what can i say.

i know it seems kind of strange but sometimes songs about suicide (whether they are pro or con) make me cry and in a strange way feel a little better. i guess it kind of plays into why i'm here....to know that others have felt the pain i feel and as selfish as it sounds, that makes me feel a little less alone.
