My reason for joining this forum,
...is people are always telling me that i should reach out and get help from friends and family. But i always get the same two responses;
"you're not actually sick, it's just a [five year long] phase." "Oh you should get help" and this constant circle jerk of passing the buck that is depression is extremely frustrating. I found this site by searching Suicide support on google. (gotta love the internet.) Anyway, I hope this helps me and I'll do my best to help you guys too. Good luck

Hey, welcome to SF
 I think I found this site when I googled 'Suicide'  . I've never told anyone about my depression/suicidal ideation, but I know it'd infuriate me hearing those responses. Hope you find the support you need, and take care

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you a struggling.
I know it's not helpful when people blow you off, and say that there is nothing wrong or to just get over it. It's hard enough to struggle without people not believing, understanding or just telling you to get over it. As if it isn't hard enough already. I'm glad you joined seeking support. I hope to see you around. I'm here if you'd like to talk.

 to the forum. I think you will find the support you need here. You may still need to seek support from others, but the more avenues you have the better off you will be.
