A Cross to Bare (Embracing the Sorrow I)

Unseen he wanders through life empty and alone
years of solitude has turned his heart to stone.
People see him standing in the pouring rain
Laughter and ridicule cut through tissue and vein.

Decades he has sifted through this moral decay
Friends pass him by and no longer stay
he yearns for the grave, everlasting solitude
for the feeling of love that forevermore alludes

For years he lived his life in outcast
his arms still bear the marks of the past
He wanders through life as people stare
A cross that is for him to bare

Sunlight breaks through clouds their eyes meet
The sight of her cause all dark thoughts to flee
But deep inside a voice tells him that it can never be
To bare this cross forevermore his destiny

Through the darkness his ray of sunlight still shines
even though time has eradicated most of his mind
Insanity creeps over this innocent soul in an embrace
But those warm memories of her still surface

For years he lived his life in outcast
his arms still bear the marks of the past
He wanders through life as people stare
A cross that is for him to bare

Thanks. I guess lost love is a big part of my work. And i enjoy writing from a perspective of a depressed romantic.
