    I dreamed last night
    that I was asleep and
    dreaming of something
    beautiful - a vision appeared

    of a life in reverse
    a marvellous parallel
    universe, in which I was
alive and so high on life

and the world was no longer
just a dead ball of rock,
    revolving around a ball so
    ferociously hot - the world

was my oyster and I was
    the pearl, smiling contented
in love with the world - and
    valiant under the pearly skies

    I was green naïve though
    conversely wise - zealously exploring
    the raucous seas roaring
    the wispy clouds lofty serenely

    soaring constantly wandering
    continually touring - gathering
    wisdom and information storing
    a brilliant magnificent pioneer

    scaling rock faces so shockingly
    sheer - a courageous perilous
mountaineer, with no fear of failing
    floundering and falling

    from my lungs

    I cry out
    that this is my calling,
    the air is so thin
    I can barely breathe in

but the world seems so stunning from up here
merely a dream within a dream within a dream

    the world is a fuck
    and I am obscene
