I think I went overboard with the rhyming after every sentence... haha, what do you think???

    I start to get angry,
    I start to shout,
why didn't you warn me that I might not get out?
I'm stuck here, waiting for nothing.
and stuck here with everything in my head
I might as well be dead.
Though, something did occur to me ever so loudly,
"You can find another way out" The voice said proudly.
I diverted my ears, so I could hear,
"There's another way that is just as near"
    The voice moved around,
trying hard not to be found.
    This sound,
    this voice,
if it was a voice at all,
    I could not recall,
whether or not I have ever hallucinated before,
    I could not keep score.
Any night was like any other
    I just could not bother.
"You see, you can be free."
I could not understand, could he really be talking to me?
"I am not a he, not a she, nor an it,
none of those names really do fit
I am your hopes, dreams, and desires,
And I am here to lit that fire."
A single match fell into my hand,
it lit and all I could see was sand.
Was this it, all I would be able to see?
Could this really be all of me?
All I could see was dirt,
    and that really, really hurt.
"Oh, don't fret my dear, the light will begin to grow,
Don't you fear, soon you will be able to know
that this world isn't as dark and cold
And with that, you will no longer feel as old
    It will take some time,
giving up would be quite the crime.
So, I'm just letting you know,
    that I will not go
as long as you hold on,
    I will be here, thereon"
I looked down at the small flame,
and decided that this small match and fire will remain
