We're in dire need of a positive post in this forum. Yes, here, in the suicide forum. All of us should want to feel better, so having one pessimistic post after another is not helping us in the long run, even though it is giving people an immediate release, including myself.
Life is miserable for us all at times, but don't deny yourself the ability to break through depression. It's something I know I have to work on doing more often, but it is attainable. Once we start worrying about our image, whether it be getting married, having a better job, making more money, being more social, or anything else, we are pointing fingers at ourselves in vain. The same goes for worrying about our pasts. If we want to improve ourselves, rather than envision how we "should" be, we need to gain self respect for who we are, because that's who we will always be.
If you put one foot in front of your other and don't make excuses for yourself, or let people make excuses for you, you will feel better and respect yourself. There will always be people who turn you down and disgrace you, no matter who you are or what position you're on. Don't let them get to you. Our mindsets are so much different from each other that we're naturally going to offend each other. Take one step forward at a time, and focus on what you're doing, not the big picture, and you'll be fine.
