Before I got in the army I was kinda chubby, but I lost a lot of that fat while i was in the army. When I got out I noticed I was gaining weight since I was eating lots of candy, chips, pizza and hamburger, so I stopped doing that since I did not want to get fat again. I also used to eat a lot of food, so suddenly cutting down was hard, here is how I did it:

    1. I dont really like long diet plans, they are just hard to follow, so I decided that I would first cut out all of that junkfood and candy, that was the hard part.

The first days I tried to think about other things, mainly porn , after a few days I no longer had cravings for candy or junkfood, it just vanished.

    2. I was used to eating big meals, so the next thing was to cut down on my food, and since I no longer had cravings for candy or junkfood it went easier then I thought. The point here is to eat the same amount of food, but spread it out through the day!

If you keep eating big meals your stomach will get bigger and it will take more food to fill you up. So after a few days I could manage with a fraction of what I used to eat.

    3. Whatever you do, dont stop eating! Even though you think you are loosing weight with just drinking water all day you are just making your body slow down your metabolism. This means that your body will slow down burning fat, and the next time you eat something the body is going to store all that fat.

What I did was insted of eating 4 slices of bread with Nutella for breakfast I ate 2 sliced of bread with cheese+tomates. Whenever I got cravings for candy I would eat a apple or a tomato.

    4. Dont eat lots of unhealthy food before you go to sleep because when you sleep you wont burn fat very good, and you will gain weight easier. This does not mean you cant eat before sleeping, just dont eat a cheesecake before going to bed

    5. Dont go hungry! This goes together with #3, if you go hungry all day long your body will take it as you are in trouble and will slow down your metabolism and store fat. If you get cravings for food then eat, but eat something healthy, it's not going to hurt you in any way.

It might not be one of the miracle diets you see on TV, this is a lifestyle, you WILL go down in weight with it, you ARE going to feel better about yourself because you are eating healthy and wont think about candy/junkfood all day long.

Hope I could help someone, and sorry about my english, I am from Norway >.<
