I wrote this poem after 4 of my friends died in a crash because of booze.

    I went to the bar
Then I got in my car
    I thought I was okay
But I didnt know the price I'd pay
    I picked up my friend
And we drove around the bend
    We drove fast
But I didnt know it wouldnt last
    We drove around the coast
    Then we were toast
    I smashed into another car
Only a few blocks away from the bar
    I looked at my friend
And I knew it was her end
    Her eyes were closed tight
    She just didnt look right
    I called out her name
    But her voice never came
    I watched her die
    I had to say good-bye
    So now I'm in jail
    With little chance of bail
My best friend is dead too
The sad thing is, I never knew
    The price I'd pay
    For driving drunk that day...
