Ideas & Opinions A poem

So so tired

Just a few thoughts I had.

I walk a lonely road with tears in my eyes, tears that just won't subside

The pain is indifferent as each day passes by, a harsh reminder of my true desire to die.

A happy life is now a distant memory as loss and grief reside upon me.
I am a soul who has lost its way, maybe going home is the price I have to pay!

That's quite poignant. I notice loneliness is a frequent and powerful driver of despair and self-destruction. In fact, I've read that the brain interprets prolonged loneliness the same way as physical pain. Did you lose someone or has it always been this way?

I've lost a husband due to death and our son into the care system due to a suicide attempt myself
