    A silent birthday of love and sadness,
    a time when you're not here.
    Wishing to see your face again,
    falling on deaf ears.
    Nothing we can do will bring you back,
    to share this day with you.
    Instead all we have are the memories,
    they will have to do.
    Our heart is full of happiness to have had you in our lives,
    at the same time there's a large empty hole;
    why did you have to die?
    Nature can be oh so cruel,
    we have no control of events.
    But one thing's for sure,
    you're loved very much,
    today,
    tomorrow
    and forever.
    Sleeping soundly up above,
    I am sending you all my love.
