For he rest of his life he could feel no love
His mother took the form of a snow white dove
For all he could see was the points of low
So afraid his emotions would show

He could only ever sigh or weep
He had lost all will to ever seek
For what had happened was indeed bad
To make one feel only deeply sad

His will to live would not go on
He sang his final ending song
He pulled out a sharp and cruel knife
The rest is all a clean up of strife

The first paragraph is my favorite. This poems makes me think of it as a story.

I'm not sure what the dove represents though. I'm not very good with symbolic things, I take everything literally. Does it mean she has died, or left in some other way?

Yes the dove represents death, or the transformation into a more beautiful object, e.g an angel.

Ah, now it makes sense. I've always thought doves represented peace or marriage, but things tend to have many meanings anyway.
