I keep getting the urge to cut my arms and wrist, but I can't because people will see it if I do. Long sleeve shirts are not an option.

The only place I can cut is the side of my thigh, but I burn and do a few other miscellaneous things from time to time.

    Am I addicted?

    Not shure... Its possible...
The longer you cut, more possible is that you are addicted and harder you will stop...
I beleive that you can stop... when you will have urges, just came here, we will suport you:hug:

Once a person feels the "urge" to cut and other such self harm techniques, then yes he or she is addicted to it.

SI, when it is in full form is an addiction just as powerful as drugs or alcohol. the truth about addiction is that (for me and others) it isn't so much about the action or effects but being able to control ones emotions. sure there is the draw to the action but it's power as a coping mechanism is what made it so addictive for me...
