• Xenforo forums over the past few months have been seeing spam posts from existing user accounts. Bots hitting forums using lists of emails/passwords leaked elsewhere. We strongly recommend that all users change their password ASAP.

New here. I'm feeling really dark thoughts. I did a google search and this is one of the first places that came up.

I've never been suicidal before. Never. The perfect storm of events over the past 12 months has brought me to a place I never thought I'd be.

What helps you when you fee like this? I'm already in therapy and take meds - but I still find myself like this occasionally.

If you think you are about to give in, put it off for the night. More than likely by the next day you will feel less like doing it. Beyond that open up here and say what is bothering why you want to die.

I have found it best to not give the monster power...I might think about something but I know that these are thoughts and do not warrant actions...in this way, I have become less fearful of what I am thinking and feeling...I give these feeling a voice and let them into the light...when I need to, I reinforce the caring I have and others have for me...this has helped me be much more a part of the world...big hugs, J

Hi and welcome to sf. I found this place in just the same way as you have and without the help and support I have received from so many people here I probably wouldn't be here now. It's a shame so many of us end up feeling so bad but knowing there are others who are in the same position does help. I've found it easier to open up to people here than I ever did to any doctor. I've found people who really understand because they have been through the same sort of feelings. Hope you can find as much help here as I have. Best wishes.S.

Firstly welcome to SF! I find it helps to keep busy, with a hobby or work. Anything that distracts you from the thoughts. Failing that, I come here. Posting and going into chat gives something to do. Also my PM box is open if you want to talk about what lead you to this or anything else. :hug:

Hey. Welcome to the forum. I came upon this place on a google search too. Just keep sharing in therapy, hopefully he or she will help you get to the bottom of things :heart:
