  1. Aging

    Does every moment count
    Is it all about time
Is there a reason for everything
Then why do I feel so lost
    without purpose, reason or rhyme
    Pain increases
    Hope decreases
    Nothing ceases
but my world getting smaller ~
    Is feeling alone
    a lesson to teach me
    Why do I ask
    for significance
Why am I going out of my mind
Why do I hope for things I can’t find
    I’ve lived half an age
    and all I knew
    has been swept away…
    by slow eroding, degrading
    I am bitter,
    not better
    as I grow older;
    Scared, not bolder
    for my experience
    My body, and mind,
    weaken before their time

Hi FAL...I was trying to age with grace...and then I fell...your poem is so very touching and reminds me of so many times when I wondered what life lessons I was learning as I grow older...hoping to find something more than botox in my old age...with much fondness, Jackie
