I recently bought a breathalyzer (at Walgreen's, a store here in the US). It measures one's BAC (blood alcohol content).
Personally, I found it's results shockingly depressing, but helpfully informative.
(I've learned my tolerance is high. At 0.30% BAC I was thinking I was normal and just getting ready to get drunk... The device does not measure over 0.40%... I recently had to call in sick because I knew my BAC was over the legal limit to drive (0.08%). (Bleh. Fukk. Annoying information for me...)

Also online there are BAC charts and calculators to help one estimate one's level of intoxication (found through google searches).
