An autumn waka

    Maple bones jut out
    of the threadbare hillside's coat.
    The gathering chill
    of the autumn evening soaks
    the forest in shivers.

    I remember when this jacket
    was warm and felt like home.

    ..the last line, i couldnt relate more..when solace is no longer felt from an old friend: a jacket or coat. write more :)
