As we all too well aware, Life can sometimes be a real bitch! I watched a programme on the T.V. the other day and it really made me think about my life and the many problems that I am trying to deal with.
It was a tale about a man in the 25 - 35 years old bracket in the U.S.A. who had been convicted of murdering his girlfriend / lover and was serving a life sentence. He claimed that he was innocent; I don't recall how he managed to get his case investigated, but for this thread, that is irrelevant.
The investigation was able to unquestionably prove that the lady in question had committed suicide by using a rifle. After having served just over two years in a prison, his sentence was squashed and he was released to become a free man.
What he felt - and how he coped - with being locked up in a prison (and all that that involved) for 2 years+, knowing he was a victim of a huge miscarriage of justice - I will never know. Obviously, I am extremely grateful that it wasn't me! But it all makes my problems seem quite insignificant in comparison.
I just hope that this tale gives some hope etc. to others here who are undergoing their own personal turmoil, etc.
And a merry Christmas to you all!
