I have thinking long time to write up legends of our family. Because there is so insane things which had happend. I have got some information since late 1800. But is it really something especial what is happend to our family or do I only think so? Maybe all families have same stories behind.

I wanted to write it at first for our young relatives that they could read the familystory but I kind of scare to do it. There is so many different comphersations at things how they happend that I scare others call me a liar or even bring lawsuit for me....

    So......

Are you guys interest what is happend at your family history? All those stories was they really happend or not? And is it matter are they true or not if people talk about these things still after over 100 years? I know much more than others but I do not know should I bury the stories or share them. Some things I feel it was just better buried than share...

I have collected old dialect from my gm before to some kind of book (not published-meaning) but this is kind of different thing. Larger and with much more responsibility.

    Thoughts?

Shortly my main question is should I share things what I know with others before I go or buried them with me?

Maybe I lift up some things which wake up old grudges or something...

family history is an important thing because it was these things that shaped people - just try to keep things in context - that may help avoid misunderstandings

but no matter how hard you try you may still upset someone (especially if they are still living) even if you have accurate and honest in the telling

sometimes what you find may just be odd/interesting

    examples:

my wife's grandfather ran an all-female orchestra in russia

apparently on of my antecedents was believed to have made a deal with the devil for a demon hound to protect the castle treasure (which has not been found to this day)

I think writing the book could be a fun and interesting experience. I'm sure everyone has at least one interesting story in their history. I like to think of everyone as their own story, if that makes any sense. XD

By the way, is English your first language?

You're doing pretty damn good considering. A lot of native speakers here are a lot worse at it than you...

No, seriously. X| They're pretty bad.

    What is your native language?

Here is something what I know

    Kerran vain haaveeni nähdä sain
    En pienuutta alla tähtien tuntenut
    Kerran sain kehtooni kalterit
    Vankina sieltä kirjettä kirjoitan

Luojani, luoksesi anna minun tulla siksi miksi lapseni minua luulee

    Sinussa maailman kauneus
    Josta kuolema teki minusta taiteilijan

Luojani, luoksesi anna minun tulla siksi miksi lapseni minua luulee

Luojani, luoksesi anna minun tulla siksi miksi lapseni minua luulee

    Oman taivaan tänne loin
    Anna minun päästä pois

That is what google translator offer in english:

Only once I got to see my dreams
I'm over the smallness of the stars known
    Once I got bars kehtooni
    Prisoner then write a letter

Creator, let me come unto thee, therefore, why my kids think I am

    The world's beauty in you
Of which death made me an artist

Creator, let me come unto thee, therefore, why my kids think I am

Creator, let me come unto thee, therefore, why my kids think I am

    Own heaven I created here
    Let me get out of

    Own heaven I created here
    Let me get out of

!*And that is what it should be:*!

    Death Makes An Artist

Only once I could see my dream
Didn't feel the smallness under the stars
Once I got bars in my cradle
As a prisoner I write a letter from there

My Lord, let me come to you, let me become what my child thinks I am
In you is the beauty of the world, of which death made me an artist
My Lord, let me come to you, let me become what my child thinks I am

My own heaven I created here
    Let me get away
My own heaven I created here
    Let me get away

So yes heck I struggle with my english and bad...
