twowolves80 Darkness Incarnate; don't even bother

    We're just lonely wanderers
    on a midnight plane
    of damp ashpalt and concrete
    and the cold night's stain.

    I have always walked alone,
    my heels on the black,
    I was just a stand-in
to make up all you lack.

I took all the hits and kicks
    and then you stepped inside,
closed the door in my face
    and on your wounded pride,

yet here I am standing still
    outside your door again,
    without pride in my heart
    soaking in the rain,

    watching from the shadows
    as you forget me,
    moving into your new life
    but always will I be

    the passing darkness you escaped
    yet wounded as I cry,
    you'll hear only howling wind
    as I pass on by.
total eclipse and Witty_Sarcasm like this.
