    Hello,

I would like to ask if there are anyone who has taken Asacol for there colitis and have experienced a stiff neck with pain as a side effect. I went to 4.8g for two days and the next day i have this neck pain.

Dont know if it is just bad timing or it is the cause (likely) since i rarely get neck pain like this.

I read that aneamia can cause neck muscle pain but im not convinced i have bled enough.

  3. I don't take Asacol, but I do suffer from neck pain quite frequently. I can't say whether or not it was the Asacol, but do you know if anything else has happened recently that would give you neck pain? Have you gotten any injuries, or changed pillows when you sleep, or anything like that? If not, you should probably talk to your doctor about experiencing side-effects, and maybe he or she can recommend a different medication. Either way though, I hope your neck feels better soon.
