    Autumns Lament

    Lichen stained tombstones,
    Pay homage,
    Straining for the heavens,
    Searching for souls,
    Once sheltered,
    In the shattered bones,
    Recumbent,
    Abandoned,
    In tenebrous sepulchers,
    Shrouded,
    By Autumn's dying blanket.

    Monuments define the dead,
    Mausoleums procrastinate, the
    Discomfort of the living.

    Lament me not, for,
    This stone,
    Make me,
    Immortal.
