I haven't even been out of the psych hospital for a week and I'm already back to perfecting my plan. Thanks to my anxiety meds I'm a lot more calm and at peace with the decision than I was before.

How was the psych hospital? I've fantasized about being committed before, so I could get help, and let go of the societal pressures/expectations I have of myself.

The planning part is your comfort zone right now. It feels familiar. It gives you something to focus on.

You know, there are plenty of other diversions that you could engage in. You might be surprised how long you go without thinking about how bad things seem.

One constructive diversion would be to address the issue that started your downward spiral, and throw yourself into correcting or recovering from it. The battle is not necessarily the issue. It may be your acceptance of it, or the realization that it's not your fault.
