Just something I wrote in the heat of the moment. My birthday's coming up. I've already made a rant about it, so to summarise I'm not looking forward to it.

This won't be as thought out as the rest of my poetry. Maybe I'll re-write it later:

    Happy Birthday

    Another year older
    It's still the fucking same

So what are you going to do?
There's still so much to lose
What are you going to do?

    Happy Birthday

    Where are you now?
    Can't stay here forever

    There's no room to breath
    Nothing you ever want

    Just enough to feed

    Happy Birthday

    It's like any other day
    You're older, just as immature

    Good god

    What made you this way?

    Happy Birthday

How did you get so old
    And still be a child?

    Life never did unfold
    And you're feeling it now

    The growing pains last
    And they just add

To the scars of the past

    Happy Birthday

    Good job
    Still no gain to name

    You're losing time
    On a runaway train

    Soon it'll be over
    You'll run out of everything

    Happy birthday to you

    It's all the same
    And it'll end soon

I hear that final, mortal bell at the end. Good stuff!

Thanks. Assuming you're not being sarcastic. :p
