    Bouncing off the walls

Within this padded cell I sit
    Bouncing off the walls
I am going crazy in this place
    But no-one hears my call

The voices in my head taunt me
    I cannot block them out
They scream words upon my brain
Like a flower caught in a drought

I try to unlock my chains
    But cannot find the key
    My arms are wrapped around
Like a snake that’s eating me

Finally I brake free of this coat
But the door is bolted shut
I run and bounce right off the glass
And know I’ve been off cut

I sit down in the corner
    Ready to accept my fate
The man comes in and tells me
That tomorrow is my final date

Slowly the injection comes in me
I can feel the stabbing pain
    But soon the drugs overwhelm
And I can be at piece again
