I've heard you become really calm before you attempt it compared to all the horrible thoughts that you have been listening to.

Should you be wary when they stop?

yes, that was my experience, i became very calm and relaxed. it was like i was watching from afar when i attempted. i think i was relieved, in a way, 'cos i stopped fighting the desire to die, and i just gave in to the impulse.

it's now 7 weeks later. i am glad i didn't complete my attempt. i am glad to be here, fighting depression.

if you are very close to attempting please go somewhere safe. friends and family are good, even better is people trained in mental health - a helpline, your dr., or even the hospital.
