Positive thinking is a mind game....the mind is by default negative in that we use it to solve problems...problems are negative otherwise they wouldn't be problems.

When we have a problem that we can't find a solution to, the repetition of thought about it becomes a mental habit, and when thoughts are the habit, it becomes a prison.

Positive thinking is a game to repeat something positive and try to change the prison from a negative thought about life or self, to a positive thought about life or self.

Neither address the real problem....why can't we find a solution to whatever it is we are seeking to solve. We never consider that the question in the mind may be false....how can a false question have an answer? It can't. When the question is seen to be false, the question vanishes and the mind is no longer dwelling on it.

One of the false questions is involves the meaning of life as though we have to create value for ourselves to justify our existence. That leads to judgment that we don't produce enough and have no right to live. The whole idea is false but until that falsehood is realized, the mind will spin this unworthiness all day everyday creating a mental prison of self hatred that we see univerally on this forum and out in the world.

Living in the mind, one thinks that ideas are truths and it's just a matter of finding the right ideas to live by. That's another falsehood but to the mind it feels like truth. The idea then becomes that life is logical inspite of failure after failure of our logic to pan out as true.

The mind can't find the truth as it can't even see the truth. It's merely a bio-logic process that helps us creates ideas in those areas of life where we don't know the truth. If we all knew this, we would stop imposing out ideas on life and instead test them.

    :)
