Okay, I'd appreciate atleast a few replies for this (unlike the other thread). I'm just wondering if anyone here has used CBT for depression, and if so, if they found it was successful in treating their depression. Any informative replies would help out a lot.

Apologies if I'm wrong, but ... Cock and ball torture? ...

Well, I wouldn't have been able to do that, being a girl. I have tried self-inflicted nipple torture in lieu of more dangerous forms of pain, but I just didn't gain the cathartic result I wanted.

I think it's usually better to figure out where your emotional pain is coming from, and treat that, than to ignore and bury it in layers of alternative (physical) pain.

That made me laugh. No, it means Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

hah. Shows my background a bit.

I've gotten into an almost instinctual use / idealization of behavioral therapy (Fake it till you make it) since I started counseling during my childhood.

It's much more effective than nipple torture. ;)
