I walk in this deserted playground
    Surrounded by this dead town
Poison filled syringes, anti freeze in beer bottles
This is slowly suffocating the kid

    Look in the mirror
And find that kid in you
Don’t let them be blinded by a dead life
Become lost in the innocence that I know you miss

    Let the children play
Change the toxic lives you live into fairy tales
You know it all has a happy ending
Tell the kid in you it does exist

We can be so tied down by that misery
But that doesn’t mean we can’t remember the stories
Our parents reading to us wasn’t far long ago
Let us sit and read, the happy ending is so close

We fell under the adult curse
    All hope seems lost
But the kid in us aint dead
Why should we feel so dead?
