We enter the ballroom, deserted and glowing
Naturally lit, and the music is flowing
Around you and I, this moment, this dance
That we face each day, in a simple romance.
Step forward alone now, to put on this show
With nobody watching, nobody to know
My partner the blade, in this strong embrace
Shall gift me release, take me from this place
A serenade in blood, oft dreamt of before
A release from these chains, so that i can soar
One last painful journey, then drift through the stars
Where my dreams move beyond the blood and the scars

I wake now alone, in a world with no light
No hope, no dream, no spark to ignite
Emotions within, just the dark of my soul
Lost in these thoughts, just out of control
But the blade still there sits, just in my reach
The tool for my freedom, to whom i beseech
For a final embrace, and end to this pain
To break me from the bindings, to cut through the chain
But the blade still there sits, unmoved by my pleas
She sits there and laughs, while i lay here and freeze
Today i have lost, no path from this abyss
No future, no freedom, no cold steel kiss

I don't have enough concentration to write anything particularly decent!

I always write my poetry out within a few minutes, before my mind loses focus and drifts somewhere else, and end up coming up with something completely different to what i was aiming for. I'm sure i can do better, just end up giving up in the middle of them sometimes, because my mind blocks. At least i finished this one.
