Whenever I stop cutting I begin to have the impulse to pick at my skin. I often dont even notice that I am picking until someone points it out. It has become my "natural" response to stress and anxiety. I pick at my face (right beside my nose), fingers, and right behind my hair line. Does anyone else experience this?

I do that...I think since maybe a dozen years. I'm full of scars from picking, it's my main SI method. I pick at my face, shoulders, fingers and legs.

Yeah, I've stopped picking my face for the most part but I still do a lot of picking. It's a pretty difficult SI method to deal with it. I cannot seem to break away from it as easily as my others. (not that that was easy but...) It's such a pain to deal with yet so difficult to let go of.
