I have a friend in the UK who is Covid-sheltered because of her health conditions (meaning she's at high risk if she contracts Covid). Her flatmate is a healthcare worker, and there's been an outbreak at her workplace.
In principle she could go to her mum's, but it's not safe for her there (long story). She's tried contacting Shelter before, and she told them that she's Covid sheltered, but apparently when she says she's on a tenancy agreement, they say they can't help her.
She's worried that her flatmate might not let her back in if she leaves (they fight a lot). She has a dog that she doesn't want to leave. Going through a housing change can be stressful, and she has a history of suicide attempts.
Any advice?
