  1. Deathwish

    I want to die
    I have the right
Life shames me at every turn
I’ve used up all my might
    in circumstance
    that overwhelms
    Too many trials
    Too much pain to tell
    Over and over again
    I want to DIE!
    But I am so weakened
    I have no plan
    And these thousand deaths
    are the same as one.
    I want to die
    Everything’s a lie
I’ve lived through all the falsehoods,
that all one needs to do is try
I can no longer even cry
    I just waste away.
    Waste away in agony
    cringing at the memory
    of all I’ve seen,
    all the hopeless
    places I’ve been
    I’m tired beyond words
and have been for too long,
    every ounce of my strength
    far long gone
    I looked for truth
    for beauty and glory
    in little moments
    of a humble life’s story.
    I was cruelly misled…
And there’s nothing left but to
    wish I were dead…
    How to rally
    with aim made straight,
to bring me to my final fate?

I've said it before and I'll say it again,
    you are an amazing poet.

    Thank you for sharing.
  3. Very nice. Sometimes I think myself a good poet, but after that I realize I have a ways to go.
  4. Very touching, and amazing...continue writing, and I hope to read another soon.
  5. Thank you for your words few readers...

    Wishes not read
    No prayers for the dead
    that look as still if alive;
    their flesh still moves
    illusion that soothes,
but their minds have gone over already
    spirit sacrificed
    soul as cold as ice
    mind stuck in tumult
    no way out
    and suffering
    with no relief
    Oh would eternal sleep
    be sweet

the wish is for the pain to fade away
my wish for you is to stay
I understand the words of pain
the stain and mark it leaves
knowing the absence of your tears
feeling them fall in the soul
weakness is felt, belied and denied
dear one I stand next to you
thru this strife, in this life fallen
    together may we stand
    together may we continue
    together may we travel
this tulmultuous journey that we unwavering call life

Very nice, it is evident that you have put a lot of emotion in this poem and it can be felt.
  8. my wish for you is to stay ...

What wish is that of love for when someone is suffering so much and you ask them to STAY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Ari, I don't UNDERSTAND that!!!!!!!!! I've SEEN suffering so many times, nevermind my own - I DON'T see what is WRONG with letting go when it ALL too MUCH!!!!!!

I am so sorry dear friend ...for the tears of your agony's tear my soul to pieces
my wish is for and hope and a reprieve in the storm
my wish is to keep connecting with like minds
    to weather these sea's together
  10. Dearest Ari,

    Reprieve is slight and ineffectual....

    Such exquisite agony,
no end in sight but one!
    It’s so close
    But not close enough
    I can taste the madness,
and it’s more bitter than bile
    I’m stumbling now,
    my mind reeling
    My soul screaming
    “LET ME OUT!”
    I’ve been given too much
And each time I fail in my step
    I’m given more
    I can’t bear anymore
    This reality is excruciating
    and I cannot escape it
    I’m so weary
    I’m so exhausted
    I only want to sleep…

I am so sorry...I have no words at my grasp
    I feel your exhaustion
for it has over taken me completely
    I feel your words
because they seem to mirror mine of late
