The mind spins, plagued with thoughts
Aching to touch, that which he sought
Search no more, the worlds gone cold
Dark and bitter, nothing to hold
He sits alone, he knows his path
Perhaps its shock, an icy bath
But all is clear, he’s what’s wrong
Destined to sing his lonely song
Only himself, his thoughts, his curse
A future desolate, he knows it’s worse
A life of love, it just won’t fit
He knows he lost, it’s time to quit
He’s left his mark, more a scar
Never meant to reach the stars
He lets his dreams, his hopes, his life
Slide away, and grabs the knife
A mind so lost, he wants to go
To ease his soul, the blood will flow
The time has come, but still he waits
He screams his pain, he screams at fate
He drops the knife, sweet deaths embrace
He stares ahead, face to face
He cries defeat, eyes clenched shut
Too ashamed to make the cut
The mirrors sight, it sickens his soul
Where once was life, there’s now a hole
He steps away, he’s left to brood
    Returning to his solitude

Why do you think you are what is wrong? We are not wrong, we may not march to the same drum as the world, but that does not make us wrong.

all that i've failed and all who i've wronged, i can blame no other but myself.

I feel i do not fit into this world. I do not belong here and i never will.

Nice poem! I like the sequence of events, and wrapping the poem up with his return to solitude gives it a sharp and poignant edge.

Thank you, i wanted the ending to be as bittersweet as life seems to be.
