    The autumn night grow colder
As I lay here in my bed
    And I'm becoming older
Who knows when I'll be dead.

My bones are continuing to ache
    My body is growing weak
I don't know how much more I can take
    It's getting harder to speak.

My memory comes and fades away
The time, I feel, is coming near
I don't think i have enough time to stay
With the people i hold so dear.

    The medicine is kicking in,
    It's time to say goodbye.
Like Daniel in the Lions den
I am praying to god on high.

Deliver me to the pearly gates
It's time that I check in.
I'm not a person who patiently waits
Father, forgive me for my sins.

This is amazing a poem that I would love to be holding when I die.
