Dissociation (PTSD)

    When I feel as worst, I get "paralyzed" so to say. I just sit still, I stare at something but I can not really see, no one can get contact with me... Now my therapist diagnosed it as "dissociation". Is this a common reaction in case of PTSD? That you get a kind of blackout, uncunsiousness?

    To both of the above posts: I just read up on this (since I've seen it several times recently) on "Wikipedia". It is a great source of information and should answer all questions...or most anyway!
