    We stand in a row
    As straight as dominoes
    My companion collapses
    Into me he crashes

    I resist and I struggle
    Refuse let my knees buckle
    I defy gravity
    I defy insanity

    It seems impossible
    But I should be responsible
My kin is next in line
    Her life depends on mine

    So I will stand strong
The line of dominoes is so long
Stretching as far as I can see
    This line depends on me

Below is a full analysis of the poem:

We stand in a row - "We" refers to the author's boyfriend, herself, and her sister.
    As straight as dominoes
My companion collapses - Her boyfriend passes away.
Into me he crashes - This affects her deeply and she attempts suicide.

I resist and I struggle - The attempt fails and she fights against all odds to live.
    Refuse let my knees buckle
    I defy gravity
I defy insanity - "Insanity" refers to psychotic depression, her clinical diagnosis.

    It seems impossible
    But I should be responsible
My kin is next in line - Her sister is also suffering from depression.
Her life depends on mine - If the author dies, her sister would be upset and she'd have a good chance of dying too.

    So I will stand strong
The line of dominoes is so long
Stretching as far as I can see - She doesn't know how many people are in the line who will be affected. There could just be the three of them, or there could be 100.
This line depends on me - If she survives, she can save the rest of the line.

Please rate on a scale of 1 to 10.
