drabble of my thoughts

  1. Sometimes I write little drabbles, I don’t know if you could call it poetry, it’s not really any good but it helps me vent. I wrote this, this evening. I thought posting it might make me feel like I’ve gotten something off of my chest.

    I try not to imagine what she looks like
    But I can almost hear the skin slapping
    Lights dimming, discarded clothes
    Exposing your bones
    She has an accent
    And she’s smart, breaking lines of code apart
    It’s a cubicle romance
    Or a death dance
    Depending on the view
    And I suppose I knew
    The grass was greener somewhere else
    You had cabin fever
    An avid believer in making rash chess moves
    Now it feels like a neon bruise
    And I feel used
    When I hear the silence, in the spaces you’ve left
    I’ve gone deaf in your wake
    And it’s a low blow that I can’t take
    They say; don’t worry, you’ll meet someone
    But I already did
    I met my half, then he met his

    Very moving poetry. Very good but such sad circumstances though :hug:
