What a lovely idea, its put a smile on my face reading it all.
For my box...

A picture of my kitty kat, a little black thing and she's adorable.
Lots of Cadbury's Mini-Eggs, say no more!
A poem someone wrote about me, I'd forgotten about it until reading this.
Alien + Aliens DVD,no matter how often I watch them I get completely absorbed.
Lots of SR toothpaste, I've got a thing for the stuff ok?,we all have our vices!
A bottle of Malibu, the only drink that doesn't give me a hangover...
Some Vanilla Coke, addicted that as well,
And a toothbrush, for my toothpast of course!

I'd put:

  1. A photo of my animals
  2. A £10 note to go out and buy myself something
  3. A fave CD of mine
  4. A plane ticket from when I went to spain with my best mate
  5. Money off coupon for Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream (cookie dough or phish phood flavour)
  6. Torch (in case I was in the dark!)
  7. A phone, so I could call my best mate.
  8. A pizza leaflet so I can call a pizza!

My Dog, though i suppose he would object.........lucky for me he is always right beside me when i need him.......

My dog is the only reason i have left.

i think an emergancy box is a fantastic idea! but i dont think ill make one as i dont think that my depression is that bad even tho my doctor said i had severe depression :sad: anyway fantastic idea!

i really like this idea! i wouldnt have ever thought of something like this, and am so grateful that i found thos forum especially when i was feeling so low and on the verge of ending it all.

But as for my box i would have to say it would be like this:

A photo of my girlfriend and my mom and 2 brothers (one is going to be 9 and he really helps me get through the day)
a few rolls of film, taking pictures calms me down
4 or 5 dollars so i can get a small peice of dark chocolate and a coffee at the local coffee shop
a cd with the song Doing the UNstuck by the cure (download this one, its pretty uplifting it always makes me feel alttle better)

this is a great idea, thanks for sharing it with us, this is going to be a great help the next time i feel like giving up...hopefully i wont be needing to get into it anytime soon...bu the way things are going it will be nice to have it around

aww vikki, an emergency box could help anyone.. doesn't matter what kind of severity your depression is.. please think about it.. it could help :)

and neon, i'm glad that you found this forum too.. great ideas for your box.. hope it helps :hug:

Hmm.. I'd put:
-Pictures of all my friends, especially dave, hes been there so much for me recently
-Picture of my dog
-A rose, to remind me of, well.. Beauty, I guess
-A phone, to call someone
-A toothbrush and toothpaste. Brushing my teeth always makes me feel like a million bucks.
-The letter my boyfriend wrote to me, asking me to go to prom with him
-And, Uhm, well, it'll probably grow as time goes on.:tongue:
Also, I just have to say, I've only been on here for about an hour, but, when I first came on, I was awful. I was crying, ready to end it all. You guys definetly got me through tonight, and well, you kinda saved my life. Thanks X's a million.

thanks jenny my moods seem to change very quickly could change in seconds :blink: one min im on top of the world then i feel like crap crying my eyes out for no good reason

like a min ago i was crying alot about something in my past that i kinda said in chat, to prove a point to someone, and know im in a fairly allright mood :blink:

Hmm...a great idea. I don't know what I would put in mine, though. Probably a bar of dark chocolate, $5-10, a green tea tea-bag, a photo of my cat and dog, photos of my closests friends(or ones that just give good memories), and a mixed cd of songs that make me happy or are just inspirational. Pretty simple. I'd put my red pillow in there but I need that everyday! lol

I should actually do this. I have a lot of shoe boxes....

The emergency box can be very helpful. Dark thought i am sure there is something you could put in there. It does not have to be many things. Start small and add to it as you find things that can make a difference. One step at a time.

I would/will put
~A funny book that i like to read
~A pic of my bestest buddy
~A weird al CD (to make me laugh)
~Finding Nemo or Happy Gilmore
~a tiara...because i AM a princess

and maybe some other things...but i have to think some more

RIGHT. I'm making my own emergency box now!
Here is what I'm going to put in it...

A postcard from Hastings.
A drawing of mine.
A small candle.
Some of my cat's fur (in a box).
Some hotel milk, tea and sugar for an emergancy cuppa (we rarely have tea).
My favourite single (the androids, do it with madonna) and dvd (mean girls).
Mascara and lipgloss.
Favorite foot lotion (for a pedicure).
Some money for chocolate (Mmm seritonin).
Microwave popcorn.
The London Underground song!

Some pictures of my dog
A book of jokes
