They hook they're little teeth into your brain
Off your life they do sustain, and add their own little twists and pain
To everything you feel, how you react, everything you do they too impact
As you grow, as you age. As things happen, or don't anyway...
More and more latch on, sinking their teeth into your soft brain
They harden the tissue that makes up your compassion and empathy
They neutralize your centers for happiness and competitiveness
And in the end you're not who you were when it had all begun
The final question is do you still know this someone?
