Someone just sent me these encouraging words by Helen Keller:

"The marvelous richness of human experience
Would lose something of rewarding joy
If there were no limitations to overcome.
The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful,
If there were no dark valleys to traverse."

If you're in a dark valley right now, don't lose hope. Look forward to the hilltop hour when you'll look back and truly appreciate how wonderful it is to be alive.

I've been looking forward to it for years, but I'm still stuck in the dark valley.

Sorry to hear this. But think about what Helen Keller had to go through. She was blind and deaf from 19 month old, and she overcame all that. Life should have been a dark valley for her, but she reached the hilltop despite all odds. It really is a state of mind. Hope you find your way out of the dark valley soon.
