This is more of a question post:
Has anyone here had seizures in the past that they got over? I'm a healthy 19 year old man, and seizure symptoms developed when I was 17. I've got a vision issue (squint), and I can't even write, only type. I tend to have seizures after drinking (majorly cut back, once a month at most), but can have them for any reason. It starts as a 'normal' dissociative episode, and progresses into my hands shaking, then moving in a large fashion. My most recent seizure was 34 of a year ago, but thats more due to me being super careful about straight lines, such as chess, excel or calligraphy?
The doctors have done an EEG and an MRI, but found nothing abnormal. They wanted me to come back, sleep deprived and try to give myself a seizure, which I dipped from pretty quick. Medication they gave me made me turn into a robot, have dissociative episodes and increased my BPD symptoms.
For anyone who developed seizures later on in life, did they go away? I've started getting better sleep (9 hours a night), but I'm at my wits end. COVID means I cannot go back for now.
What can I do with this?

Here's a couple links about acupuncture. One is an article from the National Institutes of Health, US National Library of Medicine; the other is on the web site of the Epilepsy Foundation.

I can say more about the subject if you are interested. Many but not all acupuncture clinics are open, at least in some states.

I hope you can find something that helps.

Does this work? I always expected acupuncture to be a psuedoscience but I may have been wrong

There's a lot of evidence that acupuncture works for a lot of different conditions.

Particularly if conventional medicine doesn't have any treatments that you can tolerate, then it sounds like it's worth a try. The proof is in the pudding. If you stop having seizures, then it works. If you don't, then you should probably give it up.

If you want to try this, I can give you info about finding a clinic, and try to answer an questions that you have about getting treatment.

It estimated serious adverse events to occur less than once for every 10,000 treatments, making it much safer than many conventional medical treatments.

Sorry, you have to deal with seizures, I had a grand mal seizure at 14yrs old I got put on dilatin for it. Years of blood draws and tests I grew out of it at 22 and now at 44 I am still seizure-free for now, my older sister though had a seizure when she was younger and she grew out of them but they came back when she hit her 40's so I sit here wondering when will mine come back. I hope you can get better and figure ways to deal with it.
