First one I have written since I posted my little poll thingy, hope you enjoy it!

    Eternity in a day.

Slowly time withers your presence away
Shackled to torment you cry out in pain
unbreakable bonds, they are here to stay
you struggle and shout to escape in vain

dead hours pass like years as you wail
verification of unending torment through time
no matter the effort to pace deaths trail
Eternity in a day a torment to define

Flee for the sunlight as it moves over the soil
hiding away in disgrace from this mortal coil
No way to escape from this unending
Eternity in a day breeds this suffering

You close your eyes as you try to sleep
to escape into a world of solitude and bliss
Praying, hoping that at night death will creep
upon your naked soul to leave its kiss

Decades have passed as you withered away
images of yesterday illusive as they break free
No matter how hard you try they do not stay
Eternity in a day, torture that forevermore will be

Flee for the sunlight as it moves over the soil
hiding away in disgrace from this mortal coil
No way to escape from this unending
Eternity in a day breeds this suffering

Thanks for the kind word, I was in a darker mood (creativly speaking) than usual when writing and then something like this pops out :)
