The depths of despair deeper than the deepest sea
    Overwhelms, smothers & consumes me
    Strength usurped, downtrodden and waning
Even determination to resolve to quit complaining

Met with emptiness, sorrow stamina lacking
If only I could send this miserable self packing...
Back to where my stronger, healthier self is lost
To days before my back had to bear its cross

    Searching, puzzling, completely exhausted
All ounces of stamina now thwarted
Drifting aimlessly carried along on the sea of fate
the end nowhere in sight... No set date

But a longing in the soul remains
to escape pain & sorrow to refrain
    from damaging all thats within.
To quiet ones heart escape from the din

    All light and hope fading
Tired of life done with wading
    through the muck & myre
To say Im coping makes me a liar

Existing day to day hour by hour
Lust for life taste gone sour
Still waiting for the end to arrive
As nothing left no hope to strive

    Past this mountain this trial
No one to call no number to dial
All hope lost glimpse of light now hidden
From view, just memories, to speak forbidden
